11. The tent build in front of the hotel building across the street, once demonstrators were expelled from the area. At this place was later built a memorial.

12. 'Down by the Rhine, in the shadow of the Old Rhine Bridge, is a small and moving memorial to a riverside Synagoge that existed here before the war. Now all that remains is a sunken Star of David, and a beautiful and subtle carving of the same from the bricks that I assume must have housed the original Synagogue.'
